About Corica Park - Mif Albright Par 3
The Mif Albright Par-3 Course is the nine-hole short course at Corica Park, Alameda's municipal golf complex. Greenway Golf's plan to revive the complex started with rebuilding the Mif and the neighboring range, and the par-3 was modernized in 2014. In December 2018, Golf.com named it one of the 13 best par-3 courses in America, calling it fully transformed, firm and fast, with rollicking greens. A second reboot began in 2025, as crews repaired fairways, upgraded the greens and built large new grass tee boxes, with reopening planned for the end of March 2026.
On the course
Every hole is a par 3, and the official card totals 1,011 yards for a par of 27. Holes range from 75 yards at the 2nd to 147 at the 3rd, with the 7th (140) and 4th (129) the other longer tests, while the 2nd, 6th and 8th play under 100 yards. The difficulty lives around the greens. Reviewers describe real undulation and greens that punish a loose approach, and one visitor noted genuine bunkers and mounding throughout. The card also carries a footgolf par of 31 over 1,046 yards, since footgolf is played on these holes too.
Who it suits
The practical case is time. This is a walking course of nine short holes beside the range, and reviewers call it quick, fun and a good place to sharpen chipping and putting. Corica Park pitches it at juniors, families and friends, and its youth programs kept using it during construction. Older reviews flagged tee shots hit from range mats; the new grass tees, which Corica Park says came out of golfer feedback, were built to fix that.
Practice facilities are shared with the North and South courses: 47 Toptracer hitting bays, a secluded grass tee area, a short-game area and a practice putting green, plus private instruction and junior programs. The Mif suits beginners, kids posting first scores, better players wanting a focused wedge-and-putter session, and anyone with an hour rather than four.
