Fleet Week 2026 is a wrap. The Blue Angels will be back over the Bay next October, and so will the crowds on Marina Green. When the 2027 dates are set, this guide fills back up with live tee times for the week.

The schedule

When do the Blue Angels fly during Fleet Week?

Fleet Week 2026 runs October 4 to 12. The air show is Friday to Sunday, noon to 4pm, flown between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Fog and weather can move it around; the official Fleet Week schedule has the final word.

The view

Can you see the Blue Angels from a golf course?

From the right one, yes. Lincoln Park Golf Course sits on the bluffs above the Golden Gate, looking across the water at the flight line. Book a midday tee time and you reach the bridge holes mid-show.

  1. Hole 7 fairway. City and Alcatraz in view, which is where the loops happen.
  2. 13th tee. Same view, and a perfectly respectable excuse to dawdle.
  3. 16th and 17th. The full bridge. Take the photo, then take your shot.

Timing

When is the best time to golf during Fleet Week?

Plan around the show, not against it: Friday to Sunday it runs noon to 4pm.

  1. Before noon: play first, watch the show after. These go first.
  2. Noon to 4pm: at Lincoln Park the course is your grandstand. Anywhere else, it’s when waterfront traffic is worst.
  3. After 4pm: twilight rates, and the show is over.
  4. Thursday: practice passes, roughly 1 to 5pm. Same jets, a fraction of the crowd. Not guaranteed, but the best day of the week to be on a course.
Away from the crowds

Where to golf to avoid Fleet Week traffic

The crowds are on the northern waterfront around Marina Green, and SFMTA expects the waterfront and Van Ness corridor to be busiest on show days. In the city, go south: Harding Park by Lake Merced, Gleneagles in McLaren Park, or Sharp Park in Pacifica. Or leave the city entirely: Marin, the East Bay, and the Peninsula and South Bay are nowhere near the flight line.

Questions & answers

Fleet Week golf FAQ

Q.Can you see the Blue Angels from a golf course?

Yes, from the right one. Lincoln Park Golf Course in San Francisco looks across the Golden Gate, and the air show is flown between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Our picks: the 7th fairway (city and Alcatraz in view), the 13th tee, and the 16th and 17th holes, which frame the bridge. A midday tee time puts you on those holes during the show.

Q.When is the best time to golf during Fleet Week?

Before noon or after 4pm on air show days. The air show runs noon to 4pm Friday through Sunday, so a morning round finishes as the show starts and a twilight round starts as it ends. Thursday is the sleeper: the Blue Angels usually fly practice passes in the afternoon with far smaller crowds.

Q.Where can I golf to avoid Fleet Week traffic?

Anywhere away from the northern waterfront. The festival hub is Marina Green, and SFMTA expects crowding along the waterfront and the Van Ness corridor on show days. East Bay, Peninsula and South Bay courses keep you off those roads entirely; in the city, Harding Park, Gleneagles and Sharp Park (in Pacifica) are at the south end, far from the show.

Q.When is Fleet Week 2026 in San Francisco?

Fleet Week 2026 runs October 4 to 12. The air show is Friday to Sunday, October 9 to 11, from noon to 4pm, with the Blue Angels expected around 3pm each day. Check fleetweeksf.org for the official schedule.

Q.Is there twilight golf during Fleet Week?

Yes. Most Bay Area courses drop to twilight rates in the late afternoon, and Fleet Week does not change that. The live table on this page lists the best after-4pm tee time at each San Francisco course.
